Fic?! Hey, it’s only been like 3 years since I posted any writing (fic or otherwise) on here. But this fic needs a home and American Vampire fandom does not appear to exist on Livejournal, so next time someone tries to google “American Vampire fic” I hope they come this way. So here it is!

This was really interesting. I quite like the mood and the evocativeness. There's obviously a very big world behind this story, which is always my favourite part of fantasy-esque fiction. I would indeed be interested in reading the graphic novels if a torrent were available. =)

Even without understanding a good chunk of what Felicia was contemplating, there were lines that really stood out for me.

But it was hard to compete with a silent companion that kept on giving.

I like this way of describing the appeal of liquor. It's refreshingly... practical, I guess, compared to the usual quasi-nihilistic "drinking = brooding" cliche I see a lot of. Also, this is a nifty way of indirectly describing Cash (if I read this right) with the later reveal that it's his bottle.

All of which sat on her coffee table in a little wooden box, right next to her candy dish full of bullets for her .38 special. Hopes for the future and keepsakes of past, side by side.This is an effective dichotomy, yes, but it's also darkly humourous. These are the ( ... )

I love the fact that you have no idea what's going on but you read it anyway. You are forever my favorite person. ^_^ I think once you read the two major story arcs with Felicia and Cashel in them you'll pick up a lot more details on a re-read. Either way, I appreciate the feedback! :D The whole bullets in the candydish thing is my own addition-- once you read it I think you'll see why this is completely something one could envision in Felicia's apartment.

I will hunt down those torrents for you and PM the links!
