status and drabble

Dec 17, 2007 15:45

Well, it came to my attention that I haven't actually posted drabble on here since about three weeks ago, so I thought I'd do that.

The status of my third part to the BG/AON universe is that I've written 17 pages, or three chapters, thus far. Winter break is finally here and I have the free time to write, so I plan on doing that. Chapters I'm trying ( Read more... )

As usual even your drabble hits all the right notes. I like that you keep that murderous side of Sylar very much there, living and breathing just below the surface, but that Mohinder makes him want to choose (at least for now) something different. On the one hand he seems to go against his own nature but on the other hand the choice that he makes is a reminder of his connection to another human being who matters so much to him.

Thanks for your insight! I'm glad that comes across clearly. I'm actually having a lot of issues right now writing these first few chapters because things aren't going peachy for the two, and deciding how they would react to one another in a less than happy circumstance (and still stay together) can get very complicated. ^_~ Thanks for your comment!

This was lovely, I'm always amazed at how well you get Sylar:)

Thanks so much! It takes a lot of thought, but after writing for a while it just flows. ^_~ Hope it keeps doing that for my fics!

Oh ho ho ho! I can't wait to read what you have for the third arc. It's already promising to be fantastic. (I promise to be patient.)

Re: Drabble -
I almost feel sorry for Sylar - even if I shouldn't in the presence of polite society - because he very clearly has lost his way and must search for a new purpose and take pleasure in something else for the sake of it.

Which reminds me - was it you that I mentioned bdsm/bondage!mylar to? I think it was. In any case, it brings to mind the thoughts of what Sylar truly enjoyed about killing. If one takes away the purpose of taking powers from those that didn't deserve them, what drives Sylar to kill again and again, whether he gains or not? Is it the control? If it is, then would the urge for wanting this control be enough of a reason to let Mohinder take it from him? Is it possible for him to need justification ... verification of his ability to give up that pleasure in control?

Hopefully the third arc will be able to measure up. ^^ I'm having some issues starting it off, but I hope it'll turn out fine.

And yeah, I can definitely see where Sylar needs a bit of sympathy. I actually address some of the sacrifices he's made in my first chapters.

Ah, there you go tempting me to write bondage!mylar... we'll see how things go. ^~ I think it might be a worthwhile exploration too.

Just let me bit a little awed at how you're able to write EPIC FIC. It's amazing. As much as I wish it were otherwise, I'm all one-shots - or a series of them, if I'm lucky. Whenever I try for epic, the plots inevitably fail to produce. ;_;

I'll look forward to being even more awed by your prowess (and possibly crying for Sylar?)

haha, TEMPTATIONS. You know the easiest way to get rid of temptations? Give in to them.

Well, epic-fic will be new for me too. ^_^;;; A plotty one, anyway... to be honest working with a timeline of events and dual story-lines is really confusing and frustrating for me, which is why I'm hoping to write a ton of it out first and grill my beta to death. ^_^; Working on chapter five, currently...

And oh my, the temptation... xD Like I told Bobby, the temptation is getting stronger. I could totally make canon bondage in this 'verse. *cough*

Sorry, someone up there said "bondage Mylar" and my eyes kinda crossed...what was I here for?

AH, yes. DRABBLE! Again, it all comes down to that one choice- maintain his identity as a killer, or let himself be devoured by "Mohinder's Sylar". That battle is what makes the BG/AON world so damn wonderful.

Predictably, I'm drooling for any new stuff. More importantly, I hope that your finals went well!

Coupled with that icon, your distraction is great. xD To be honest I'm getting fairly tempted to write canon bondage with them in this universe. *cough* I mean really, how often does this pairing get bondage that's not PWP? la la la~

Hoping to get BG/AON rolling. Currently at 24 pages and trying to hunt my beta down, but unsuccessfully...

Yep, finals went well! Straight A's make me happy. Not as happy as mylar, but hey. ^^ Hope your skin is doing better! ;-; Healing up some maybe?
