I'm very interested in the format of this competition, and how likely the possibility of a "cost-neutral trip" would actually be. The chance to go to China would be incredible, and the website indicates this will be as well organised as any WPF event...

Good work on that one. I don't think I would have beaten you anyway, but I can usually put up a close-to-top time on a really hard Nurikabe, and unfortunately a host of mistakes (none fatal, but several minutes of slowdown) held me from doing that this time.
