Here are some more sudoku that were almost included in my upcoming book
Sudoku Masterpieces but again were cut due to having way too much content. None of these styles will appear at the WSC this year but I first encountered each at past WSCs so I'd like to think their original creators for the inspiration in these styles, and more generally for their inspiration to create something incredible this year in Philadelphia.
Star Sudoku (from WSC 1):
Place digits from 1-9 in each triangle so that no digit appears twice in any of the three "row" directions (as indicated in the icon) or in any of the bold regions. Rows span the middle of the grid; the rows on the outer edges of the grid possess just 8 cells but no digit repeats within them.
Four Square Sudoku (from WSC 2):
Place digits from 1-6 in each of the interlocked 6x6 grids so that the digits 1 through 6 appear a single time in each row, column, and bold region.
