Why can't Susan and Peter go back to Narnia?

It was fantastic - I totally got emotional at certain parts, but that was mainly because I've been a fan for so long. :)

They can't go back because they're too old. The implication is that they must now use everything they learned in Narnia to live their adult life. It's funny, I never understood it until I saw the movie!
