The Sting (George Roy Hill, 1973)
Robert Redford, oh, my, god. Maybe it's because of that horrendous moustache he has in Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid that I didn't really realize that he's so hot, haha. gimme shelter really made me hate hippies and all those sad old businessmen who close their eyes and sway to 'hotel california' whenever it comes on the radio. i mean, the whole sexual-revolution-let's-get-stoned-and-naked-and-see-the-music-man is so over-played.. altamont isn't woodstock, but gimme shelter seemed like a more honest recollection of the festival//gig than woodstock. it was probably very one-sided in it's representation of the festival, and some people probably did have fun, but it just seemed like a nightmare.

i totally agree with you on both robert redford and charlie being your favourite stone. and giuseppe andrews, heh.
