Wow. This is very heartbreaking, and reminded me of just how tragic Jeremy's story was. This works really well in that I actually get the sense of all the fight going out of the poor guy, and the brief flash of disappointment, the cold acknowledgment that yet another person had let him down.

wow, thank you so much! usually all i ever write is cute fluffy stuff (though everything i have posted here on lj is decidedly not), so it means a lot to know i was able to convey something other than my norm.

jeremy's story was a favorite of mine (obviously), and though it was a darker moment in heroes, i think they handled it perfectly.

Oh my god, my heart. I had to go back and rewatch his eps after reading this and it sums it up perfectly. His disappointment is so sad because of how much Bennett finally wanted to be able to help someone he'd neglected.

I thought the worst thing was how much he blamed himself. He basically committed suicide because he couldn't forgive himself for something he couldn't even control.

dfkgsdf, your comment gave me giggles of the happy. <33 this fic was my almost immediate reaction to his eps, so i've only seen them the once. i definitely need to get season 4 though, just so i can rewatch his bits...-shakes fist at netflix's slowness-
yesyes, and you can just tell he thinks it's all bullshit.

dear god, yes - sick though it may be, that's definitely the moment i fell in love with his character. as depressing as his entire arc is, just...i think it's gorgeous. /sickbastard

At that stage I was just covering my mouth in shock. And cursing my affinity for falling in love with another character with bit part. On the rewatch I was kind of just perving 'cause he has nice hands. I'm just sayin'.
