Note to Area Residents:

I've just heard from the town mailing list I'm on, that the bridge over the Nashua river on 119 connecting Groton to Pepperell has collapsed is fine.

EDIT: It was a big lie!! Or a giant, terrible game of telephone. Not true, regardless. :-P

We've had a LOT of rain. Rainiest March on record. Ever. Everything's flooding. I'm betting the foundations were just washed out from under it.

Holy Crap!

Is that going to add more trouble to your daily commute -on top of the local construction near your place?

I hope nobody was on it when it fell!!!

Here in Chicago they are starting construction season in a BIG way and all the roads are messed up. (Stimulus money maybe?)

Luckily we live right on the L and use it as much as we can for commuting around town. About the only time we use the roads is when we are getting the hell out of town (which I try to do every chance I get on my VFR). Hopefully they won't rip up the Jane Adams this year and I-90 will be construction free all the way to the Wisconsin State Line.

Didn't they just build that a few years ago? I guess I better leave extra time to take a detour to get to Groton on Thursday. That stinks.

The part of 119 that's been closed for a week is on the Groton/Littleton line. This bridge is on the other side.

And yes -- wettest March ever. :-P

Oh my.

This tells me I'd better get the heck out to the store before part of 28 floods. (It was impassable for two days during the last storm.)

I was hoping this series of rain wouldn't be as bad.

Be careful! Stay dry.
