Assholes are bulletproof. They'll piss you off, they'll hurt you, they'll make you miserable -- but if you try to get back at them, you'll only succeed in making yourself look like an idiot (at best) or damaging yourself (at worst). You can't hurt them, because they don't care. If they cared, they wouldn't be assholes.

Those "types" are best directed to a military of one form or another. Since most won't do true military, and "militias" are basically outlawed in our nation today, they cause just the sort of troubles you appear to be facing.

Perhaps that asshole, or group of assholes, you are dealing with would be choice fodder for seargent or low ranking officerial positions in a meaningful group that protect life-styles... given the right circumstances and training.
