It's Facebook and the network scaling effect. The value of a social network scales as the square of the number of contacts. FB has a shitty coefficient but a gigantic n^2.

Yeah, but it's pretty dead. AT seems to have calmed down some, but then, we're Not Talking. :> I once accused him/her/it of being worse than Vox and got jumped on for it. Personally, I think my assessment was not far off.

We aren't shallow; we're just deep... elsewhere.

Anyway... yeah. If anyone notices or asks, that's what's up. Around the time the "troll opposition" forces started jumping on new, curious atheists for being too "shallow," I packed up and left. Meh.

I swung by Atheism today, and... Ano has some boring post up about blah blah blah 19th-century Christianity is so great, and you couldn't even conceive of atheism if Christianity hadn't invented materialism first, blah blah. No one is left to argue about it.
