[It would not please his sister to know how much this news amuses him. Sickness is a thing of his, the rapid and sluggish ways in which a body can destroy be destroyed. If you care to look, you will find this young man with his hands jauntily in his pockets: smiling, perfect teeth all in line in a perfect pink mouth.]

well good morning guys 8V reposing_spring February 5 2010, 13:46:35 UTC
[Visitors... how surprising. Spring turns his attention to them slowly, uncertain if it is truly worth the effort, but there had been amusement enough in his last conversation with Famine's girl. He cannot vouch for Death, other than the fact that he is his sister's thing and perhaps that is enough to form a vague dislike of him.

Before the Blizzardseason touched down on the cycle, there was no death. There was sin and repentance, bound together by a mandate of torture with Lydia situated between, offering the spirits a place to rest and be healed before it all began anew. It was inevitable that their father would not stand for it, would witness how this fatigued and beleaguered his fabrics and strings.

He accepts her hand, after a moment, something jealous on his lips.]

Aware of, though it has not been mine to know personally.

[ Slipping his sunglasses down his nose so that he can look at the both of them over the top rim, Death watches the exchange between Famine and the season with the vaguest interest. ]

Hey, c'mon guys, standing right here.

[ He offers a hand to Spring as well, with a grin. ]

Percy, [ he says, offering his old name. Force of habit or perhaps sheer pigheadedness means that Death (this version of him at least) goes by both monikers, even though it's against the rules. It's enough to get Famine to roll his eyes at him again. ] Or if you want to be formal about it, Death'll do. Ingy's said good things about you-- [ A noncommittal waggle of his head back and forth as he claps a hand on Famine's shoulder. ] --your sister...not so much. Thought I'd come along for the ride and make up my own mind. A pleasure.

[ Famine stares at Death, perhaps a little annoyed. ]

Don't you have work to do? [ But Death just waves her off. ]

[There is a certain measure of amusement that he takes from their interaction, certainly the man's mannerisms are cause enough for a faint twist of his mouth. It all seems rather unfortunately appropriate given the blizzard bitch's own ways. The second hand is taken into his own lazily, tilting his head to listen to Death chatter.]

I suppose I hope I don't disappoint you.

[He cares very little. All their functions will continue on with or without one another's approval, though he might confess a small amount of affection for Famine's business sense. And he does wonder what brings them, green gaze drifting towards the girl.]

And how may I be of service to you?

[ Percy grins at Spring from over Famine's head before giving her hair a condescending little ruffle which gets the younger sibling to bristle slightly. ]

Naaaaah, not likely. Heard all about your plan for down south -- excellent by the way, have I mentioned that yet? I'm not big on antagonism. Way I figure, better just leave that to Cole, even though he's not really either. Jobs'll get done either way, but that doesn't mean we can't try to get along, right?

[ Famine turns sharply to look at Death and lifts her eyebrows at him pointedly. ] Are you going to let me do this? Or do I have to send you somewhere to reap something?

[ Quickly, Death raises his hands, giving a quiet 'sheesh'. A gesture then, over-exaggerated, as if to say go ahead your majesty. Turning back to Spring, Famine's expression smooths a bit. Her voice lowers back down into its matter-of-fact groove. ]

We've come to talk. About what happened.

[He has decided he is, in fact, amused by Percy when the conversation takes a turn he does not appreciate nearly as much. He is a horrible haughty thing and his chin lifts, eyes narrowing.]

What of it?

[A family affair, no doubt, still raw to him, to his sisters. It will be raw for some time, perhaps as long as his little niece survives.]
