yes. I always always wanted to play baseball, but never had the confidence...and then had a disastrous softball tryout at UA where I got laughed at by the other girls. It's one of those nightmare memories.

But now I run, and I'm not particularly fast, but the joy is in the accomplishment! It's been just about a year since I started, and my first 5k was a month ago...and it felt so amazing to finish! I can't imagine not running now. I never thought I had a speck of athleticism in me. And it's not true at all.

so go you!! keep it up! :)

It’s interesting to realize what one is capable so “late in life,” but maybe it was just our time to get up and RUN.

You were awesome! I suffered from the same self-depricating non-athletic image of myself, and LOOK! We can RUN! I am totally proud of you, and not at all surprised at what you achieved.

It's not the sweat that discouraged me, it was more the possibility of failure. That and pain. ;)

I hear that guy is a jerk.  Irregahdless....it still doesn't mean I can run 3 miles non-stop,  AND YOU CAN!!  I am in awe :)
