Due to some inane scheduling strategy, it is slower than slow at the office today. I mean, it's Watching Paint Dry slow. Frozen Molasses slow. Turtles on Xanax slow. Sloooooooooooow

get a yellow notepad and write by hand? i find writing by hand, while generally slower and messier, far more satisfying than typing. I get my thoughts together easier that way, and still leaves me the perfect opportunity to edit while i'm transposing to the comp later.
Oh man, I HATE writing by hand. I write and re-write too much. I'll change just one word, like, a million times until I find the Perfect Word. The notepad would be saturated in ink by the time I was done; completely illegible. I envy those of you who can write long-hand!
But, both my sister and my friend bostonerin have offered to lend me their old laptops. Apparently they need to stay plugged-in in order to function (negating its use as an actual laptop since it must stay on a desk). But Word is in full working order, which is all I need! I just need to, ahem, get off my butt and go borrow one.
Have you thought of doing some yoga at home? I really miss Blissful Monkey classes, but I've managed to find some decent classes online. Try www.yogatoday.com they usually have a free streaming class. Also look on iTunes and search Yoga under the Podcasts. They have a ton of free yoga classes. Some 90 minutes, some 20 minutes. Your body will thank you for just 10 minutes of yoga.

I have always marveled at how you manage to work out at home. You must wait until the Pirates are in bed, yes? Because I can't imagine any other possible way (for me at least) to squeeze in a nice, effective session. Even a 10-minute one! I will need to, um, clean my house first so I can find a patch of floor too.
I must admit, though, as logical as home-yoga is, I LIKE getting out of the house for class. Especially at the Monkey - you remember. The lavender eye pillows, the soft, New Age-y music...it's like sneaking in a little nap! ;)
