[This video isn't a video of Kay. He's voicing it over, but instead it's a slide-show. There are pictures just taken off the the side of Edward Nygma's green punctuation covered shoulder of a faceless... thing. There are others, too, some with hints of a black suit in them, and most of the subject matter very similar in ( Read more... )

kay is responsible, why do you dress like that eddie?

I've never seen anything like that, but it's quite unsettling.

We couldn't look directly at them. We had to look at each other while one aimed the camera. But yeah. They're pretty off-putting.

I've always thought ghosts at least had eyes.

Not sure they're ghosts.

The worst part is, it wasn't happening before I left but something still felt wrong. I can't put my finger on it. Like I should remember something but now I can't. Things changed.

[Narvin spends a few seconds being unnerved. Then he puts his professional face on and replies.]

In appearance they're a little like Chameleons...not the Earth animal, an alien species whose faces were melted away after an incident on their home planet. I've never seen one myself, just read reports. In any case, they were never incorporeal, so unless something new has happened to them, taking away their bodies as well as their faces, I don't think they're the invaders, despite the similarity in appearance.

[Kay is creepily alright with everything ever. Except personal relationships and then he flails like a windsock] And you ruled out all of the dimensional effects that would lead to transitional issues you were familiar with?

[Narvin is glad that Kay is creepily alright with creepiness. It balances out Narvin's cowardice.]

I've ruled out temporal displacement. There could still be some other dimensional effects at work.

Say... I wondered where those guys went.

Guess inmates won't have to work much longer, then.

They've been here before?

What's that mean?

rayney_day October 10 2011, 06:18:54 UTC
Oh, you weren't

Right.

They used to do all the jobs around here. Then they kind of... Vanished without warning. Hence, work placements.

Or something like them, anyway. Couldn't ever make out a face.

They're the crew.

Huh.

...Were they ever aggressive before?

would not count them as sentient necessarily. too much credit.

figments and effects of a larger curse. see the atmosphere.

have they done more than appear?

They lunged at someone. But they've not made physical contact that I know of, yet.

I'll take any help from any reliable resource, magic or otherwise. Though we've reasonably identified the identities of the individuals, we don't know why the ship is corroding.

Okay. Wow. Kinda makes sense. In a whole neglected workers uprising kind of way.

[..] So it's like, pissed off creatures wanting to take the barge back? Whatever they want, [PFFFSSSSSTTTTTTTTT (static)] they're getting stronger.
