But Ron didn't run. Instead he took a step forward and knocked, wincing a bit as he did so.
The moment Hermione opened the door he beamed widely, all the nervousness seeming to rush to his face as a means of escaping. "Hi Hermione!" he chirped, probably a little too loudly. "What're you cooking? I smell food."

She noticed that Ron looked a bit nervous - moreso than usual. She wondered if maybe they should have that talk - the that defines what they are and all, but that might traumatize poor Ronald more than knitting with his Mum.
"And Crookies is in the study, so he won't glare at you or anything," she grinned.

He walked a little further inside, looking around the flat and exhaling, trying to ease his nerves some by getting more acquainted with his surroundings.
"And your cat can do a lot more than glare. He has it in for me, I know it."
