Madam,

I should have forgiven you long ago. Instead, I forgive you now, with all of my heart, and I beg that you forgive me for what I have said and done to you.

I also wish that I could see you and speak to you. Since I cannot, I will tell you about this land and about my life here. It is a quiet kingdom, full of scholars and farmers and hunters. In the evening the musicians sing for us.

There will be no more adventures here. All the great treasures of the Light and of the High Magic have been found, or found and lost again for the last time. Pridwen rests anchored by the banks of the river; she will sail no more.

It feels strangely hollow to have all my work completed. I have not told anyone this much, but I believe Merlion understands. I am not sure why I am telling you now.

Be well, madam.
