You could be reacting to the surgery + pain meds. Sometimes the meds cause side effects.

I would totally have stayed home from work, if only for the fact you're on pain meds. Rest up this weekend and feel better!

After I got my wisdom teeth out, I got sick (same week, within days) it made my mouth swell up something awful and I should have stayed home from work but I didn't. I'm pretty sure you'll be okay, just follow their instructions and get rest. It's just like any other major surgery, you have to recover.
