I just read about this guy in my text book! He's pretty cool, it makes me want to be able to read, write and understand music. I guess he compulsively collected "speech-melodies", a women cooing to her chickens, kids playing, mosiquitos humming and old me gurmbling. Sounds really interesting, a book of his that my book sites is called "uncollected Essays on Music". I thought you might be interested in the interesting dutch character if you haven't heard of him already.
