Oh ... Children of Men and Blood Diamond were both absolutely amazing - and very affecting. I work with a man who's a political refugee from Niger (which border Sierra Leone, where Blood Diamond is set), who was talking about how the movie is actually very accurate, as far as the representation of the political/social situation there in the mid-nineties. Now, when he wants to see his family, he must go to Sierra Leone, because he's not allowed back into Niger
