Last night I dreamt I was John Blackthorne from Shogun. I had changed and was now Hatamoto and Samurai. I was supposed to judge some kind of race among the Samurai youth of the town where I was staying. Both boys and girls were participating. I can't remember now and it's bugging me. Does Blackthorne end up marrying Mariko? It's been a couple years since I last read it, and I can't remember if they get married or she dies.

I started playing Shogun the game again recently and it rocks.

Mariko... dies unfortunately. Anjin-san winds up with Midori, Omi's wife, and Kiku the beautiful consort.
