Ninja quiet

I wasn't a very good husband this morning. Kresha groused at me for being loud and I told her to shutup. She often gets annoyed at me in the morning for being "too loud", but I am usually as quiet as a person can possibly be and still move with some degree of expediency ( Read more... )

I remember how noone could wake you up but me and your father. You said for some reason my voice was like your fathers and that's why I could wake you.

The whole mother thing ithisia July 15 2005, 16:12:08 UTC
I'm convinced part of it is biological.
My mom is a light sleeper, VERY light. She was always the one to get up with my siblings and I when we were born. She refers to it as the mother "ears in the sleep"...

Now, I myself sleep very heavily.
And I have no kids.
And I hope to stay that way ;)
It seems an annoying dilemma. No matter which situation you're in... the sleeping in and staying home with the kid, or the work one.
It's too easy to understand both. Ah, if only you could swap.

It's commendable that you do try very hard to be quiet.
I'd suck at that.

Dude, I would cry if I found out Nate had left for work without waking me up.

I always kiss Kresha lightly on the lips goodbye before I leave. Sometimes she wakes up enough to kiss me back. Occassionally... not so much. Funny girl.

Now that my kids are older I find that it takes more than a whimper to wake me up. It comes from years of trying to half-nap around toddlers as they pry your eyes open and want to know if you're sleeping. The first one you wake at every noise, by the third one, you figure as long as there's no explosion you're fine ( ... )

I am neither a morning person or an early riser... I'm more like a late morning person. 10ish or 11ish are a great time to get up.

That's just in time to help hide the bodies of those pesky morning people!

That sounds about what its like for me, except I'm generally a little earlier, about 9-10 instead of 10-11.

Strangely enough, I don't feel too well when waking up too early either. I wonder what that's all about.
