The president cannot directly introduce legislation. This means that in order to enact any of the ideas (good, not so good, or even pure evil ones) that a president has in order to better the state of the Union, they need to work *with* congress, inspire the people to influence their senators and representatives to introducing the legislation and supporting it.

Hope for a better future is the American Dream.

It is specifically for our presidents' vision, inspiration, and ability to strategize for the future that we employ them. They set the tone and direction for our country - and if they cannot generate hope, then I don't see how can they even dream of chipping away at anything other than our pride.

The answer is a qualified ``yes'' if the media stick with the developing theme that Obama is akin to Jim Jones serving Kool-Aid to gullible followers in Jonestown.

OH MY GOD!

Obviously, this woman is not familiar with what actually happened at Jonestown, since it was a MASS MURDER. So she's comparing Obama's hope and inspiration to mass murder? How lovely.

Your fury is well placed, hon. And now I'm just as enraged as you are.
