Hee! It takes me a lot of willpower to write about "Dust" coherently. Every time I see a new chapter posted, I'm just babbling with excitement... :))))
Thank you. That's really flattering. I just hope people continue to like it, as it goes on. It's not been the easiest story to tell, and I'm so painfully aware of all of it--flaws and places where it might piss people off and the fact that's it's a huge long epic story with only two characters...
Lostboy said to me, back when I started it, that he thought I was a bit crazy for doing a long story with only two characters. :D He was right. It's one of the biggest writing challenges I've ever set myself. I'm pleased as hell that people are enjoying it, though.
I never even tried to write such a challenging story. I can only guess how hard it might be and how much self-discipline it demands of the writer.
But, OTOH, Buffy and Spike are such rich, compelling characters, and the chasm they must overcome is so big and terrifying... I love that you don't resort to easy ways, to cop-outs. Buffy and Spike HATE each other. For real. They have a long and bumpy road ahead of them.
