Damn, woman, you just knock me flat every time. I mean, by this point it's practically a given that the Mal/Jayne interaction will be phenomenally meaningful, and this story is bittersweet and hot and aching with double meanings. But the details -- like Jayne admitting, at least to himself, that he likes the new pilot better, for example -- lift it even higher. I want to know more about Heron. I want to know more about who it is Mal sees sometimes, when he looks at the stars and thinks about Jayne. I worry eternally about Zoe. I read once, greedy gut, then immediately have to go back and read again, and then that's not enough, got to savor bits of it even more, and read AGAIN.

This could get to be a serious-ass addiction. I wonder if there's a 12-step program. If so, don't tell me about it. This is the kind of addiction I could really, truly live with.
