Kdramas/Star Wars for the ladies

Jul 03, 2010 17:19

I am officially giving up on Jumong after five episodes. None of the characters are overwhelmingly awesome enough, nor any of the actors sufficiently attractive to me, for me to endure what appears to be twenty episodes of plot scraped over eighty-one episodes like butter over too much bread. I'm more than willing to hear suggestions of other ( Read more... )

If you are interested in shorter period dramas, this guide might be for you:

I'd also recommend Slave Hunters (also called Chuno) - it's available on dramafever.com, is only 24 eps and is really really good. Probably my fave period drama actually.

Most of these should be on dramafever or netflix, but if some of them are not and you are interested and want streaming links, I am sure I can find them for you.

Thanks. I've already seen Damo via Netflix and liked it, and I'm going to try some other easily available things first.

I ran across some of these shirts yesterday and was pleased to see a real-life review of them, here. I love the Padme Nouveau shirt, in particular, but worry about, erm, chestal distortion. So I might go with the Star Wars burn out tee, instead. Decisions, decisions!

The Padmé shirt is gorgeous, but bright red clothes don't work at all with my red hair. Alas!

And, yeah, I'd go way big if I were ordering that one.

Ha, I just got my own ESB hoodie in the mail this weekend - pure love. Thank the Force for Ashley E.

Also, hi. *waves* I was doing a bit of LJ-surfing and came across your TFU posts, which kind of made me flail in relief to find a like mind. Uh, I might have just gotten back from another bout with the office TFU2 website, smashing clone tanks and having visions and stuff. Anyway, friended you in my excitement. :D Hope you don't mind.

Welcome! I adore both Star Wars and Sam Witwer, so there was no way I wasn't going to be obsessed with TFU.

I'm so happy with my HU shirts that I'm probably going to order that hoodie, too. I was excited about the jewelry that's coming soon until I saw that the Rebel Alliance pendant is the size of a coaster. A bit too big for me, so I hope HU will do some more delicate things later.

Oh, word, I'm really into jewelry so I'm excited to see what they come up with that isn't coaster-sized. Heh.

I was originally excited for TFU just for the insight into Vader and Palpatine's power-plays (very satisfied on that count), but I got REALLY tied up in Starkiller and Juno. I'm going mad waiting for the sequel. (I actually hadn't - and still haven't - seen Sam Witwer in anything else, so his awesome in this was totally unexpected.)
