You know the smell is bad when tinned salmon seems a refreshing scent. My sympathies!

I could hardly believe it, but it really did make the place smell better. Ugh.

It will linger on for weeks if you don't do anything to it. Skunk spray is some seriously foul stuff.

Tomato juice removes the scent as well. I remember when my ex-boyfriend got sprayed by a skunk *pause for uncontrollable laughter* He wasn't bright enough to strip on the porch so his house smelled for weeks. His mother told him he could come back when the skunk smell was completely gone. *is still laughing*

Now that I've had a good laugh at his expense, I'll end up getting sprayed because that's my luck.

My husband was all, "My dog wouldn't be stupid enough to chase a skunk." So I'm expecting her to chase a skunk and get sprayed next. Sigh.

Skunks are so weird. Who SPRAYS people with funk?! It's effective, but so rude.

This has happened to our dogs before, growing up in the country. It is highly unpleasant to deal with and I wish you luck. I seem to recall it took a good while before all traces of the smell were gone...
