FA United 2016

FA United was in Herndon, Virginia, this year. It was at the Hyatt Regency, just across the highway from the Dulles International Airport. I have to admit I had mixed feelings about the con moving to Virginia. For one thing, this would be my third trip to Virginia this year, after Fursonacon and Fur The More. Is it an overload of Virginia-ness? ( Read more... )

Weather was a Big Factor in me Goin or not, So I stayed and got Paid going Yard work at a Friends house .. Not worth the Hassle ..

The Only problem was I got Sunburnt , I would rather have gotten fleas, at least some flea spray would have stopped the Itching.

Good Lord, you found so many caches! 57 in 4 days! XD

I may have convinced a couple friends to go geocaching this weekend, including one of them who gave me the GPS he no longer used. :)

No idea, that's a question for Morton. :p

He's the geocaching expert. How else do you think he found 34,000 caches? ;)

Munzee is an outdoor game, like geocaching, but using a phone app to scan QR codes instead. I started playing that a couple of years ago because I noticed some Munzees in the same spots as geocaches.

I was really sad to see FAU move, it's one of the few cons within easy driving distance for me. Since I considered it a local con, seeing locals was the biggest reason to go. Ah well, glad you had a good time and hopefully the con'll succeed in the new spot.

And holy shit that's a lot of caches ^.^'''

It's about the same distance from my place as the Hanover Marriott was. 128 miles vs 127 miles. But anyway, I'll still be back in North Jersey soon to see the locals. Well, local geocachers, that is. :)
