Goodbye to the Gecko

I began the process of switching my insurance from GEICO to AAA last month. My AAA auto, home, and umbrella policies started at the end of March and I received all the policy documents in the mail over the last week. So today, I called GEICO to cancel the insurance policies. I could only cancel my GEICO auto and homeowner's insurance over the phone

I've had it for a long time, and it's been great for quite a while. Years ago it vascillated a lot, but it's been dependable for over a decade..

You mean the AAA insurance or the daffodils? Or both? :)

GEICO lost because one of the discounts they gave me was offered in New Jersey but not here. If the rate hadn't changed, I might not have switched. So they should consider grandfathering in certain discounts across address changes if they want to retain their customers.
