Yeah, the Google search query isn't perfect - I mean, it lists you twice (once as twitter.com/mortonfox and once as twitter.com/Mortonfox).
But, as a rough estimate for order of magnitude (1, 10, 100, 1000) it's probably close enough.
Okay, fine, it probably isn't even good for that, either (think: users with protected timelines) - but, it's better than nothing, which is what Twitter provides us third-party developers in the way of stats about our applications.
At least for non-protected timelines, it would help if Summize / Twitter Search could search for tweets by client. Summize always indexed more tweets than Google so the count would be more accurate. Of course, they have no reason to provide such a feature so I don't think I'll see that any time soon.
