Well I suppose that means the whole 'diffusion of responsibility' thing is not alive and kicking here, which is good from a social standpoint but bad when it comes to learning personal lessons and the like.

I suppose that happens when you're trapped somewhere that death doesn't stick.

People are intrinsically selfish. It's a defense mechanism, really. Much harder to think about others.
