Historically Inaccurate Fra/Neth [fanart] [fanfic]

Okay, so I recently posted that Netherlands in a costume from 'The Scarlet Pimpernel' and champagnesly asked if there could be a Netherlands x Francis French Revolution piece, and I said no, since I no longer trust any of my sources on Dutch history (I'm looking at you, Northern Europe and the Thirty Years War), and then she asked for Francis in a similar suit ( Read more... )

♥♥♥♥

My darling! I adore this with as many exclamation points as you need to assuage the lack of historical suit accuracy!

Who really needs that when you can have such sexy things? The look of invitation and interest from Francis. Wariness and perhaps a tiny bit of intrigue from Peeters.

Smoldering. Dangerous and gorgeous. Mmm. I will be looking at this piece often and swooning.

Doesn't matter which century, beautiful men in beautiful clothes is always good. ♥

And the ficlet is delicious as well. Francis is such a smooth operator. And the tension is so very high.

I would probably need just a little more to know why Francis would bust out the seduction card (is Peeters going to let him go? Does he need softer methods of persuasion) to go with some sex, but I think this is lovely just as it is.

A dark and dangerous encounter of two strangers in the night. With smolder.

(and sexy suits).

♥♥♥ Fangirls you!

I went with Peeters as it's a perfectly acceptable name in Belgian or Dutch, so yay family name that could work for both siblings. I still prefer van Rijn ^^; But I feel guilty. I wanted them to get to a point where they could share first names, and that did not happen. While Francis might be happy to play with anything that moves, I don't think Jos would allow himself the danger of sleeping with someone he doesn't fully know. Especially if he's still under suspicion by the current government of being an independence minded revolutionary ( ... )

I know next to nothing about the French Revolution (beyond what I learned way back when), so I acquiesce to your far superior knowledge.

There is much smolder. And if the romantic tensions aren't quite smoking yet, there are absolutely some glowing embers here.

Perhaps you just need blow on them a little? (I am terrible, I know).

But regardless of whether or not there are future moves and machinations, I am still smiling and still adoring everything about this!

*happy sigh*

Though upon my tenth admiration of this picture, it occurs to me that Peeters had better be damned careful where he is pointing that knife if there ever is to be consummation of this dangerous dance :)

Francis is so pretty. So pretty.

All my love for this forever.

I will hold out hope that they may meet and tangle so deliciously once more.

This is the beginnings of pretty goddamned marvelous universe, should you ever wish to continue....*makes eyes at you*

At any rate, this is wonderful and you are wonderful. And Francis & Josef are magnificent bastards. Always.
