[fic] Deliverer | Shamal-centric gen, PG

four things brought this fic about:

1. Shamal wiki entry: He claims to be infected with 666 diseases that have no effect on him due to the negating effects of each disease; if he has a disease that rapidly decreases body temperature, then he has another one that increases it, and so on.2. Reborn once mentioned Shamal as the one who helped give ( Read more... )

IAW the above commenter--or at least timelord!Shamal--and Bianchi as his bitchy companion who's just in it for the food and sights, Shamal trying to get Gokudera to go to intergalactic brothels. "I brought you five thousand years into the future to get you laid, kid! I mean, if you decide that you are gay, there's a certain captain I know...." "*spaz* WHY AM I TRAVELING WITH YOU"

...um, so sorry for brainstorming all over your post. *cough*

This is really great--I love the bit about Reborn making it to 27 and 43, and the way you made the reference to Shamal helping deliver him make sense--and the part with Gokudera's mom was a little heartbreaking.

...THAT KHR/DW FIC. NEEDS TO BE WRITTEN. please do so, i ache to love all over it (and for the idea of jack/hayato, which is just gorgeous hot crack all around) ♥♥

bianchi would save shamal's life more often than he would save hers, really. she's probably only traveling with him so she could find her lost Time Lord baby love. also for the food and the sights.

See, I wanted Bianchi topping the crap out of Jack. Like, shoving food in his mouth when he hits on her and being all, "We'll be in my room" when he doesn't die while Shamal contemplates throwing Jack into a black hole for getting into his sweet Bianchi's pants before he did. (I see companion!Bianchi as more Donna than Donna was.)

Also:
Bianchi: *naked* Join us, Hayato.
Jack: *naked* *Jack!grins*
Gokudera: BUT SHE'S MY SISTER WHAT THE FUCK
Jack: Believe me, kid, I have done stranger things.
Gokudera: *spaz*

And Shamal was the one who brought Jack back to the past in exchange for silence about his existence.

Stories like these makes my secret Shamal fangirl come roaring out of the closet. *A*

God, this is AMAZING. I don't even know where to start - you write a Shamal so believable and brilliant that jaksdlfjklasfjaksldf (I RESORT TO KEYSMASHING). Absolute love for this! ♥♥♥

/goes back to read again!

i am really glad the fic did not want to make your shamal fangirl want to come charging at it and me with an army of especially angry trident mosquitoes. many thanks for reading ♥

the name "reborn" has gotten me thinking since the start of the series. i mean if it's a mafia pseudonym like "smokin' bomb" or "poison scorpion" (or perhaps "rokudou mukuro"?) it was probably an earned name, right?

ahahah this KHR/DW fusion fic, it should be written. artillie has also brought it up in an earlier comment (makes doe eyes at you both)

i'm just not as active in the fandom as i used to be, but i'm glad you're still here with me :) i miss your fics, too. thanks for reading!

I love gen fic, especially well-written ones like this. Very interesting take on the Acrobaleno's!

It's writers like you who make me believe that the comm's creativity isn't dead yet. <3 I love the concept of Shamal as an immortal, and I love how you wrote him here - he sounds old, but not too angsty about it, really, just the right balance of world-weariness and wisdom and cocksure swaggering (that opening scene >w<). The way you implied what the Arcobaleno curse may be is unique, too.

And that little 5927 insert. I approve of it! 8D

i guess there's such a thing as TOO creative - so wild as to be farfetched, i mean. i'll try not to be that (too much) (although it might be too late now XD;;).

thanks for readinggg ♥
