My dog puked all over the place last night and now she won't respond to her name. My mom thinks she's getting deaf....she is 10 years old and shih tzus don't have that long a life span; I'm freaking out now.

Sorry to hear (well, ok; read) about that. Has your dog seen a veterinarian yet? There can be a lot of reasons for this kind of behavior, and if the dog has SUDDENLY gone deaf, it really needs to be checked out.

I will hope for the best, hang in there.

My mother doesn't think she needs to go to the vet, and since I don't have any money to pay for a visit, she stays the way she is.
