yarn, crochet and my stupid hands

I have a gazillion skeins of sari silk yarn because I got it for a real steal. It doesn't act like normal yarn. There is no stretch to it. I want a sweater made out of the way it looks when its brand new. Except it does not stay looking that way. It looks shiny new and gets fuzzy and soft the more it is handled ( Read more... )

OOooooo i've been lusting after that yarn for a while! years ago i got 4 silk and mohair sweaters at a thrift store, with the tags still on...for fifty cents each. and i didn't care that they were hand wash only, i wore those things as much as possible because they were SO nice feeling on the skin!

make the fuzzy sweater. your skin will be SO happy for it! and you're right, silk can be dyed very, very easily.
