[Te Ata is out again as an owl. Staying human almost all the time is rather constricting to someone used to flying at least once a day

[Dante is also spending a good amount of time near the bonfire, because it is damn cold without a shirt. But like hell he's going to actually put one on.]
[What even, Dante. Te Ata is impressed by your apparent lack of care for the cold. She lands between him and the fire and flaps her wings a couple of time before huddling down.
[He still hasn't found her nor has he stopped looking until that day, until now that is. Now he just sits outside the forge in the cold staring into nothing. Since the day he noticed Iriel was missing he hasn't slept and it shows. The bags under his eyes have grown even bigger than they were before.]
[MID-AIR] ShenaniganslikesfootnotesJanuary 7 2012, 17:01:47 UTC
[Owls at dawn? Pretty standard material, as far as Bartimaeus is concerned. When he saw her the first time, he was a spider on the wall, one that shrugged it off as a owlish version of night-owling.
By lunch, when he was toddling around the Keep as a troll, his suspicion levels rose upon another owl-sighting.
Now it is mid-afternoon and Bartimaeus is in raven form, flapping around the Keep and, yup, stalking you, Te Ata. Sky Bartiraven is watching yooooouuuuuu!]
[Te Ata doesn't even really register Bartiraven as anything other than a normal bird, so she doesn't notice when he follows her. Not long after dinner, she decides to head back for the day.
The owl flies out towards the edge of the forest and lands just inside the forest. Te Ata looks around to make sure she's alone. Seeing no one, she changes back to a human and digs her clothes out from the bushes, dressing quickly due to the cold.]
Bartiraven has seen the human body before and his beak hardly turns red at the sight, but he does give her the decency of clothing before he dives down to land a few feet away.
Now, he's been at the Keep for a few months now and seen her here and there, but he has never had a video feed with Te Ata, nor met her face-to-face - therefore, she is about to be treated to his more trollish nature. Reserved for People He Does Not Know, it starts with his beak taking on the unnatural curve of a grin.]
You know, there are perfectly good closets that you can store clothing in.
[Startled, Te Ata spins around, unsheathing the knife hanging from her belt as she does. However, her defensive stance drops a bit when she doesn't immediately see anyone around her.
Then she spots Bartiraven.
She frowns and sheathes her knife again, eyeing him as she tries to figure out what in the world is going on.]
Maybe so, but it's easier to get to my clothes if I leave them out here.
*Jacob is out in the morning, making a snow fort. He has nothing to do with said snow fort, but he really has nothing to do otherwise so he might as well. He pauses when he notices something fly by, however. Were the hawks still out? Or was it one of the weird, unsociable crows? Or the pigeons could be making a comeback...Well, with all of the options he certainly doesn't expect an owl. In fact she gets a double take from him. An owl in the day time? Odd. But was it odd enough for this place? Don't mind him staring, Te Ata, he's assuming she wouldn't care.*
[It doesn't take long for Te Ata to notice she's being watched, so she dips lower in the sky to see who's looking.
She does her own double take when she sees Jacob. He looks like he's permanently stuck mid-shift or something. So she glides down to land on top of his snow fort.
*You could call it something like that :> Jacob blinks as the owl starts towards him and takes a step back as she lands on his fort. Weird, but not bad, so he smiles.*
Oh! Ah, hi. Didn't mean to be rude, but I didn't expect to see an owl out this time of day. You are an owl, right?
*He doesn't expect her to talk back, but so far some of the animals here have at least understood him, so there's no reason not to assume she can't. He'd look rude if he didn't, and though he'd look silly if was just talking to a owl like a person Jacob can deal with silly.*

She chirps at Dante.]

He raises an eyebrow at the owl.]
I didn't think owls got bothered by the cold.

Te Ata puffs up her feathers, eyes narrowing at Dante. Hey, the cold may not bug her, but she likes the warmth from the fire.]

Te Ata lands on his knee, trying not to land too heavily. She chirrups quietly and butts her head against his hand, trying to catch his attention.]

I remember you.
[It's his little owl buddy, but this time he's got jerky for it to chew on. He can stroke its head though. Maybe it will like that.]
