It was a freak hunting accident. Nothing like Burr and Hamilton or what kennedy did in Chapeqwitick. Guy should be ok. I never been hunting but accidents like that do sadly happen.

Actually, I haven't heard anyone talk about gun control implications at all. Shotguns aren't exactly gang's weapons of choice, y'know.

It seems that most media indignation is about how long it took anyone to report the story.

Neither are rifles, but there you have it. It's handguns which are preferred, because they can be concealed.

And indignation? Shoot, it was reported. You're right, though, that they are trying to parlay it into evidence that this administration has no integrity. Trying to build this into something negative to use against the Administration.

Cheney didn't deny it. In fact, he ran over and began administering whatever help he could. (He, and his Secret Service detail)

I don't support this Administration in many things it does, or has done. I'm not even a Republican. But the machiavellian machinations of the Democrat spin machine are so obvious with this story, it's sickening.

If anything, they are [ab]using the tragic accident of some poor old man getting shot in the face for the sake of their own political agenda.

Send the guy flowers, for hell's sake- don't harass his family!
