I completed my neonatal resuscitation certification today. Hopefully the times I will be called to use it will be few and far between. I get ridiculously stressed reading/doing case scenerios that start out with the newborn in distress. For example, the video they show us before the practical? you don't see it as a doll, you see it as "someday this will be me, having to have a real conversation about this."

that's why you will be good and compassionate for this profession and why parents in the situation (any situation) will be lucky to have you on their side.

in other news, YAY AND CONGRATS!! enjoy your rest (try to get some) and have fun in the coming weeks. call before you go if you get a chance. otherwise, i'll talk to you NEXT YEAR!!!! :D
