W00t! I got called a smartass at Radio Shack. I'm buying some more lead-free soldier. (I did ask a bit about buying it in larger quantities than half an ounce, but he said they don't carry any bigger.) I'm at the register, paying for my .5 ounce deal of soldier (96% tin, 4% silver) and he asks what my name is. I say "John.", he asks me to repeat it ( Read more... )

As a matter of fact, I heard on the radio last week that Radio Shack is no longer asking for names and such. Apparently it started when they were a small chain, so they could get people on the catalog list. Nowadays a survey posted it as a major reason many people don't shop there. So you can go back. ;)
