The "show" I went to, and the one I'm missing

Last night there was a showing of the "Mikado" production I did in 2009. It was a lot of fun! Of course I'd never heard what we sounded like as a women's chorus, and I was vey pleased -- we had alto power! And some of the soloists sounded even better han I remembered them. I rather wish I *hadn't* seen Bent. I thought it was going to be like Cabaret, but as B remarked, it was the painful sequel. (she didn't go, but had read part of the play.)

The Left Hand Of Darkness was one of my favorite books in college. I reread it last year for the first time in over a decade and, yes, was amazed at how much I'd forgotten or hadn't picked up on in the first place.

If you want to read more LeGuin, I highly recommend The Dispossessed.

Bent was very difficult for me too. I couldn't stay for the second half. Very well acted. Too much for me.
