My first felting experience

So I knit this kidney with the intention of felting it. Said felting would be done by hand because I don't feel like hauling a pillowcase off a pillow to use in the machine, and our washing machine has enough problems without me filling it full of wool fuzz

hmm weird. what i generally do is felt by rubbing the fabric against itself in warm/hot water. and then sutff it and then close the hole... weird that it got bigger though

The pattern recommended knitting it to about 3/4 of the way up, then stuffing lightly to allow for shrinkage; maybe if I'd used a better stuffing it would have helped. I don't know if maybe I should try to felt it more?

can't hurt to try... i tend to use polyfil to stuff
