So, I'm not really sure what to make of the latest George and Izzie news other than it's making me kinda sad.

( ok, very sad. sad enough to dust off the good ol' sad hair. )

It's a sad day to be a Grey's fan. I'm still hoping it isn't true. Why would JPJ leak that info without Shonda or ABC saying anything first? It's all very frustrating. :(

To lose two originals is bad enough, but two members of the fab five is even worse. And Alex without Izzie is going to make me cry. The whole show is going to be so different.

And I'm already dreading the fact that this probably means new cast members no one cares about are going to be added ASAP.

Sheesh, can you imagine if this is just a rumor? Shonda is going to be doing some serious damage control.

I just want Grey's back to the way it used to be. :(

Yeah, it seems like the oddest way to leak the info. Why on earth would JPJ be the one to leak that? And doesn't it kinda give away the whole Izzie plotline? I think, if KH was leaving, it'd make more dramatic sense to keep that a secret. Same with George, but I'm less invested in his character than I am in Izzie's ( ... )

I think the loss of the fab five is the worst part about it. (Well, everything about it is bad.) But that was the original concept of the show. Even Shonda's said that countless times, everything goes back to the friends. And MAC isn't nearly as appealing as MAGIC.

Obviously, if KH and TR are unhappy, they shouldn't be made to stay, but after five years of getting us invested in these characters, it's just such a loss.

With MerDer proposals and all sorts of good things coming, this really puts a damper on the happiness. ;\

Oh my goodness, I never even realized all their names together spelled MAGIC. That is, well...it's magical! Also a sign that George and Izzie shouldn't get to go.

Ugh, I really wish KH and TR could just suck it up and stick to their contracts. They're making INSANE amounts of money and it's only two more years at this point. They're not being very nice to all us poor fans.

And yeah, it really does kinda mute the happy. I'm really worried about what this will do to MerDer if Izzie dies. :(

I'm afraid there is something true to that rumor or leak or whatever you want to call it now. I'm going to miss the fabfive more than I'm going to miss Izzie and George. I started to miss Izzie and George when they started to hook up with each other because that cleary ruined both characters for me and they could never be restored. And that's something I'll always be blaming the writers / Shonda for ( ... )

Yeah, I hadn't really been buying into the rumor, but there's something about this coming out that just kinda tipped the scale for me. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but JPJ just doesn't seem like the type to start spouting off incorrect information. I'm going to miss the fab five dynamic more than the individual characters as well. They've really done a number on Izzie and George. I never could love him the same way again after how he treated Mer with the whole tragic sex thing. Then they both were wrecked by hooking up together. And now the Dead Denny nonsense. Being with Alex has been redeeming Iz for me, but they sure have fallen far from their old selves ( ... )

there's so much we havent seen!!! this makes me sooo sad. i feel like the writers/producers are killing this show w. all their errors in judgement. i mean, what the fuck are they thinking? what the hell possessed them to completly reduce george and bring in all these random new intern characters?? THEY ARE NOT THE SHOW. the show started and was about 5 interns and their interactions with each other and other doctors of the hospital as they struggled through their internship and then follows them through residency. we arent supposed to shift and focus on new interns that come in. we stay with our group. we MAINTAIN focus. my god. ER has been running for more then a decade! how could they not just keep the show about the core characters? it's SO simple. granted, i stopped watching ER after most of the originals left (ie clooney etc) but still. there are so many avenues and situations they havent yet addressed/explored with each other. and, if izzie and george leave, we will never, EVER, see those stories. this just makes me sad. to see ( ... )

I mean, I'm sure it's a lot harder to actually run a hit TV show than it looks from my perspective as a viewer, but the thing that made Grey's great? It really was a pretty simple formula. And at the heart of that formula is the fab freaking five. FIVE. NOT THREE. I don't understand their reasoning behind bringing on all these random interns, making them incredibly annoying, and then giving them significantly more screen time than some of the core cast ( ... )

I'm kind of torn, because I will miss the fab 5 dynamic, and because I want Alex and Izzie to be together. However, I think this may be good news because it will free up more time for other characters(especially Mer/Der like you said), and if 2 of the fab 5 had to go these 2 would be my picks. However, there are a lot of people I would like to see go before them, Dixon, the interns, the chief, Arizona, even Callie and Lexie (who I actually like). George had barely been on the show these days anyway, and all of Izzie's time has been unwatchable. It's almost as if they've already been phased out of the storylines, so I wonder how much I'll actually miss them.

Yeah, the fab five dynamic and my love for how happy Izzie makes Alex are the two things making me really sad to see them go. If we had to get rid of two of the fab five, George would definitely be my first choice. The second one to axe is harder for me to choose, but I could never get rid of Mer or Cris, and there's so much to love about Alex these days and so much to hate about Izzie. But yeah, I'd axe pretty much anyone other than Derek before getting rid of one of the fab five.

George has been phased out lately, and I have to admit sometimes I don't even notice. But there's something about the thought of him just being gone forever that makes me so sad. I miss S1 puppy dog George. :(
