Wow, so I haven't updated in what feels like forever.  My break from writing, however, has been lovely.  I've discovered many, many things.  Well, two things.  But, that's plural, so...going with many.  But yes, during my be-lazy-and-watch-TV break I've, uh...watched lots of TV.  Funny how that works.  So, forgive me while I squee incessantly about ( Read more... )

That's great for you about BSG. I never really got into those sci- fi things either (except Star Wars...but that's different), but it's great that you like it so much. I love getting obsessed with new characters and new pairings and new shows.

Actually, I'd be more than happy to watch Lexie get viciously mauled by the thing, and all the other characters could just sorta stand around and watch too. Maybe point at her. Snicker a little. It'd be good TV.
HAHHAHAHHA. Sooo. Completely. Agree. I would snicker a lot. I'd probably laugh my ass off.

I haven't heard the thing about the entire season, actually I've heard the contrary. AA said that Shonda was reconsidering the Derek/Lexie thing because:

From Ausiello's vodcast today: Rhimes may be thinking twice about sending Derek into the waiting arms of Lexie. My mole tells me that recently ABC held a Grey's centric focus group, and they received a 95% negative for Der/Lexie hookup, and Lexie herself didn't fair well, receiving a 90% negative rating after appearing in only two scenes.

Hee, yes. The fun of getting obsessed with a new show is the very best part. When everything is still fun and exciting, and you get to plow through lots of episodes at once, and it's all just so nice.

HAHHAHAHHA. Sooo. Completely. Agree. I would snicker a lot. I'd probably laugh my ass off.

So glad you'd be laughing at it too. I typed it, and then thought okay...clearly I have a scary passionate hatred for this girl. But at least we aren't alone in wanting to see her suffer! ;D

And oooh, the Derek/Lexie thing makes me happy. I'd heard about the Grey's panel completely trashing the idea of Derek/Lexie and Lexie herself, but I hadn't heard that ABC was going to go ahead and act on it already. I hope they do!

First off, yay for The Office!!! Jim and Pam are my other favorite tv couple after Meredith and Derek. I could quite possibly be in love with Jim Halpert just as much, if not more, than Derek Shepherd.

In other news, the potential that a raccoon might be making an appearance on an Emmy award-winning television show as a major component of a 'storyline' is probably the most depressing thing I've heard at least all day. What has happened to this show? How did we go from sex in a car at doctorpalooza (I watched that episode last night) to this? Write, write, write - I must continue to live in my delicious bubble of denial.

As far as the above comment...I just hope that Shonda takes the advice of that focus group and axes Lexie. Immediately. That's one member of Meredith's family who I wouldn't mind if they had a wild and improbable exit/death.

Can't wait to read the new stuff!

Hee, aren't Jim and Pam just so, so loveable? I could not adore them more. The episode where Jim gives Pam a teapot filled with all their inside jokes? Gah! They were like killing me with the adorableness. And I really don't like Pam's fiance at all, so, hopefully he goes away soon. He's nowhere near as nice as Jim, and I've no clue why she's with him when Jim is continually lusting over her. :(

Ooh! Car sex at doctorpalooza! That's one of my favorite episodes. Bailey catching them was priceless. And yeah, in S1 we didn't have anything gimicky. No raccoons, no toxic patients, no patients with bombs in them, no drowning, no death by hiccups, and yet...the show was infinitely better. *shakes head* It's like Shonda is doing everything she can think of to make her show worse than before.

That's one member of Meredith's family who I wouldn't mind if they had a wild and improbable exit/death. Here, here! Actually, I'd completely look the other way if they fired her before S4 even started, and just never addressed her ( ... )

Gah, the two of them could out-cute an entire town filled with teddybears and small fluffy bunnies.

YES. YES THEY COULD.

With regards to the spoilers, though, I'm not gonna lie - I am totally excited to see a raccoon. They're cute! Much cuter than, say, George and Izzie mooning at one another. And I bet it's much less gross than the usual bloody surgeries.

Heh, good point. Raccoons are much cuter than George and Izzie angsting it up. Actually, if our choices are Gizzie and a raccoon, an hour long special on raccoons might actually be the better choice!

And yes, Jim and Pam. I hadn't realized it was possible to be this adorable, and yet...they are. Every. single. episode. So cute! *squishes them*

Actually, from what I know, most raccoons are pretty mean. So it coule be cute !and! bloody, all at the same time.

Wait--why don't we just do the whole show all with raccoons! Like they did with the meerkats.

Ooh, a new and improved Grey's where all characters are replaced by raccoons? I could get behind this. Find a way to get them all into scrubs, strap a giant floppy wig onto the most lethargic one to create Emo!Derek, and let them go wild. Then, they could just dub some voices over the cute, bloody insanity, and we'd be all set!

I'm not sure... I watched Grey's kinda backwards. ...plus just generally confused about the ins and outs of the relationships
Oh thats how I was. Except my friends got into it over spring break, came back to school started season 2, I watched a couple eps, and I drove them crazy by asking questions like: "Who is that?" "His wife." "HE HAS A WIFE?!?! What about Mer?" "SHUT UP!" So I kind of gave up. But then I stole my friends computer and watched the fairy boat arc...and was sucked in by McDreamy. So when I came home for the summer I watched all 3 seasons in less than 6 days. So yeah...it came on fast and strong for me.
And to answer this question then: would I hate S3 quite as much as I do now after having suffered through it week after frustrating week in real time? I LOVEEEE Season 3. yeah MerDer pissed me off so much, but I still love them and the show, but I dont know what I would have done if I had to wait a week between some of those eps...I still dont know how I am going to do it next season. But also watching all 3 seasons ( ... )

Hee, that's exactly the same way I was confused. Because the bomb episodes I was like, okay there's a Mer/Der thingy. But then, right after that he was being so nice to Addie, when they were laying in the trailer and stroking her hair. And I remember being SO CONFUSED. Like, why does he seem to like Mer when he's with this Addison person?!?

And ooh, I think you support my theory. You watched it all at once, so the hatred is less! I despise S3, well, at least, everything after the episode where Mer/Der do that scale of 1 to 10. The stuff before that, I liked, but the later stuff was so bad that it like...spread the hatred backwards over it all or something. If only I had the self control to ignore S4 until it'd all aired, and then watch. I might like it more!

Yeah, the spoilers are so hard to stay away from, but...I always end up liking the episode a bit more when I'm not spoiled for it. However, sometimes I just have no selfcontrol.

Yeah so when I found out Addie was his wife I was all like "OH I HATE HER!!!" But then like you CANT Hate Addison...it was very frustrating. What sucked about knowing about Addie and seeing parts of season 2 and 3 before watching them all in the right order is I knew going into season one that Derek had a wife so it kind of took away from the MerDer love...but it was still a bit shocking that she showed up the way she did...I would have FREAKED OUT if I had been watching from the beginning ( ... )

Yeah, I know. It's impossible to hate Addison. I managed to a little at the very beginning, but that didn't last long at all. And now, well, now she's awesome, and she's leaving. So not fair.

And the finale, heh. I think it deserves its own category seperate from S3. My hate for the finale is dragging the whole season down a lot, but if I could file it in its own seperate file of rage, S3 might come up as mild dislike if it wasn't connected to that finale.

And Lexie even in the same room as Derek? Definitely WAY too close.

Yeah, I think it's a horrible move. Especially since she got trashed in thos TV advisory polls. And I agree with you, if the premiere starts off bad, with Der/Lexie, or even too much Lexie, there are better things to be watching on Thursday nights. It seems like they're actually trying to kill their show here..
