I just discovered that the entire Tenchi Muyo manga series is easily available on
Manga Fox. Hurrah! I own them all already, but this is very convenient if I have to quickly look up something for fic purposes or somesuch. Clicking a mouse is a bit easier than rummaging around my highly disorganized shelves

Yes, it is a pity Gohgei never re-appeared. (For that matter, neither did Ibara.) Interesting thought that Gohgei is going to marry a girl with a biological equivalent age of about fourteen, but an actual age of over eight centuries!

I am forever miffed that the bloody wolf from Vol. 3 got a re-appearance in the second run, but Gohgei and Asahi didn't. C'mon! :P
It's a real shame it never got any sort of anime adaption. Getting to see Minagi, Yakage, Gohgei, Yume or really any Okuda character on screen would have been fabulous.
ETA: I also have the Detatoko Princess OVA DVD. It was an OVA adaption of one of Okuda's successful non-TM manga series. Oddly enough, the OVA got an English translation and dub, but the manga didn't.
