Thank you for the brief, to-the-point mention of the ethics involved. I like the way the question is posed, and the fact that it leaves the matter open to more than one choice.
Thank you, very much.

I conceived of this as a one-shot story, actually, so I didn't mean to tease anything that isn't going to appear. Apologies! But, hey, it's always lovely to know there might be interest in more. Never say never, and all that.
It really did my heart good to hear that you liked the way John and Mycroft danced around and engaged the ethics issue. It felt like one of those proverbial elephants in the middle of the room, and I suspected Mycroft would be well aware that it would be on John's mind. I appreciate your commenting about that very much.
Thank you, truly!

I'm so glad the Mycroft-Greg relationship works for you here. I agree with you that Mycroft likely would watch out for both of these "allies" even without Sherlock asking him to do so.
You've put such a huge smile on my face. :D Thank you!

And the epilogue where Mycroft assures Sherlock that he will look after the two of them; as he watches them with rather more care than he might admit, is such a great ending.

John's thoughts and conversation with Mycroft are so realistic
This makes me soooo happy (and relieved!). Mycroft is a challenge for me, but I really wanted these two to have a meeting of the minds/psyches/moral perspectives. I'm so glad it seemed realistic. I'm also thrilled to hear John's thoughts - including his realisation that this night would play a role in his future nightmares - made sense.
And the epilogue where Mycroft assures Sherlock that he will look after the two of them; as he watches them with rather more care than he might admit, is such a great ending.
This makes my day! Thank you. I'm so glad that it came through that Mycroft was showing more care there than he'd want Sherlock (or anyone else) to realise. :)
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement throughout this story. I really appreciate it!
