Now I'm curious what holidays you celebrate in Portugal. You don't have Halloween or Valentine's traditions, so do you have others that are a big deal in your culture?

LOL We are very different. :D
We have many religious traditions. We have the usual ones like Christmas, New Year, Easter and Carnaval (it's next week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) then every village has their own festivities all year but most on Spring and Summer with lots of things from singing and dancing to several different sales. I might write to you about it, with pics, if you like.
