That was a beautiful and moving obituary post. I share your love of Discworld though Terry was younger than me so I was completely 'grown up' before he wrote any of it. It's my 'comfort' reading - the fun and romance are so fabulously intertwined with the serious look at society and you know there will always be a satisfactory ending. And that in later books you will probably catch glimpses of some of the characters getting on with their lives. Obviously, like you, I will continue to re-read them all, but now with a slight sadness, knowing there won't be any more. With such a prolific author I think we all got used to the idea that there would always be a 'latest' Terry Pratchett to look forward to.
I have a fondness for the Patrician. Many things but locking mime artists in a pit with "Learn the words" written on the wall, deciding that crime should be organised (and I think taxed) and making it difficult for people to replace him because well he's efficient.
The opening of Wyrd Sisters creased me up the first time I read it, and still does.
And I want to have a Librarians/ Librarian crossover involving Jenkins.
