I've been trying to write about WorldCon all week but so much happened and it's hard to know where to start! I was trying to write about stuff in the order it actually happened but then several of the evenings have merged in my head a little bit which doesn't help.

We'll see what happens if I start writing again *g*

As my worldcon ended up such a disaster, I will be going to another one at some point, but definitely a European one. I have no great optimism that the American cons will be anything like Loncon was. If Helsinki win for 2017, I could definitely be persuaded though. :D

Speaking of next year's Nine Worlds, if you can bear it after last weekend, need a roommate? :D

I think waiting and seeing where the future WorldCons are and also what else is happening in any given year is sensible but I'd like to go back at some point!

I'm afraid I lured Becca into attending with the promise of being roommates so I'm already spoken for (sorry!) but it sounds like there will be a lot more people this time round so I'm sure there will be people to share with.

Sounds like you had fun. Mark did have a non Loncon event on Monday evening (from 6) and it was nice and fun and reading fanfic and getting updates on what he was doing next. Am going to try to make nine worlds next year

I saw that, I'm glad he did something for non-attendees but there was no way I was going to get there after the weekend *shrugs* hopefully he'll come back at some point.

I think next year's Nine Worlds is going to be amazing judging by the number of people thinking about going now :D

I just watched Both Sides Now. Gosh. Also, it made me think of Hilda/Nell... My mind is weird!

*g* isn't it wonderful? And whilst I didn't think of Hilda/Nell I can sort of see why you might. However much it's a Spock-centric video it's also Spock/Kirk and colleagues working together and being that close...

I guess that's more accurate actually- not trying to find authors who are necessarily very similar but where you think "if you like that then you'll like this". I need to go and stare at my bookshelves for a bit and see what I come up with.
