I'm on my last book for my Retro Hugo reading list and I'm half way through so I've actually just been and voted. I didn't quite read everything on the shortlists because I couldn't get hold of some of them but I read most of them and it's been... interesting. I've had to leave the Retro Hugos completely, but I took a leaf out of your book and read the short stories/novelettes/novellas for the main Hugos and feel accomplished that I've pretty much managed all of them (trips to London are useful for some things after all :)). And I've seen all the dramatic presentation nominees, so I have 5 whole categories to vote in (and a couple I'll vote in anyway because I know what I'd like to win (or not win in one case!)). I've found it interesting because I very much veer to the Fantasy side of SFF, and I would not have chosen to read most of those stories, but I actually really enjoyed them all, so maybe that's telling me I should widen my reading habits ( ... )
