So I'm at the theatre again tonight and apparently Chimerica is about 3 hours long which makes it fairly likely that I'll only just make it home before midnight so I thought I ought to post today's rec BEFORE I head out.

This is a bit of a strange one I suppose, it's a piece posted about six weeks ago but I'm still making my way through it.

Oh, Chimerica is so good! We saw it right at the beginning of its Almeida run and some of the scene changes were a bit shaky, but I'm sure that's sorted now. *g* Have a great time.

It was absolutely fantastic, the time flew past and the staging was SO clever!

I can only assume it was the same as the Almeida, and I really liked how they did it. I think the problem was that the Almeida is so small you could sort of hear them clanking around setting up in the back part while the action was in the front, also some of the screens got stuck a couple of times. I bought the text for school! I'll push it onto anyone who asks for a play recommendation.

That's interesting, we wondered how it worked in the Almeida because the central cube was so huge but it hadn't occured to me that being closer you'd hear the moving!
