This week is... well the less said about reality this week the better I think so have some fannish/media/unreal things (someone made the internet/real life distinction to me earlier today and I had to take a very deep breath and remind myself that not everybody wants to hear my opnions on false dichotomies

I love the Dalek/Hogwarts idea!

Like you, I really adore good crossovers, fusions, etc. and some of my very favourite fics fall into that category. They can be slash, het or gen - it's the crossover that's the main fascination. In fact, it's the crossover concept that was my first ever baby step into fanfic - just in my head, when I was quite small (think 7ish) and I used to dream up stories where my favourite characters visited each other's worlds.

It's one of the kinds of fanfiction that feels utterly natural and automatic to me- who doesn't wonder what would happen if Gandalf & Dumbledore met each other etc.
